Good Wins. Beautifully.
Son, you build creations with little interlocking blocks,
Usually intricate ships for your super heroes to fly.
You zoom around the house, fighting battles
Between good and evil.
Good wins.
Daughter, you create music on black & white keys,
Persevering through difficult pieces with tears.
You appear to quit as you run off to your room.
Yet, you return and play
Beautifully.
There are days I am afraid of the future. Our population as a species continues to rise exponentially. However, our Earth's size remains the same. It is becoming more and more challenging to produce food for our world. And the more people we jam pack together, the more we live in disunity. Crazy diseases emerge, threatening to be the next pandemic. Human-produced garbage continues to rise while the rest of the biotic elements of our ecosystem suffer.
I feel sick thinking about all of this.
Yet your examples, as you battle the next villain or try to master "Singing Donkey" with its sharps and quarter rests, reminds me of perseverance, creative problem solving and resilience.
And it reminds me of God.
God is in control. God has given us intellects to make decisions that can sustain our planet. And even if the entire planet is overtaken by devastating illness, catastrophic natural disasters and world-wide war, God will work it out somehow. Good will win. The cacophony of incorrect notes will clarify into beautiful music.
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes comes and the mountains crumble into the sea... “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalm 46:1-2;10 (emphasis added)Yes, good WILL win. Beautifully.
